Set consists of aluminum W/P and crank pulleys designed to reduce water pump speed and prevent cavitation at high RPM. Requires modification to the OE crank pulley (hub/damper). The stock damper should be changed at regular intervals. Total alignment between pulleys should not exceed 1/8 inch.

These cams are designed for the SOHC 12 valve KA24 engine. The R4 camshaft is a mild range/loopy idle for manual trans cars and the R6 is a milder cam designed to work with automatic trans. The R5 race cam requires the use of race pistons and alternate valve train components. (listed on this page). When installing any new camshaft, new OE rocker arms must be used. These camshafts are designed for the KA24DE engine. The 91-94 240SX/S13 camshafts had a duration of 248 degrees and the 95 and later 240SX/S14 had a duration of 232 degrees. The #1 camshaft is a mild upgrade for the 95 and later 240SX and the #2 camshaft fits both the 240SX/S13 and the 240SX/S14.

Forged Racing Pistons

The KA24E cylinder head has an uncut (surface to surface) thickness of 90mm/3.898 inches. Piston dome and combustion chamber must be modified to achieve desired compresion ratio. The JE pistons are designed to accept OE piston rings and require the use of the special Carillo steel connecting rod (12100-40FGT). Each JE piston is packaged with a .866 diameter wrist pin and (4) spriolox.

Flat top piston for improved performance. These pistons are designed to fit the SOHC 12 valve engine in the 240SX(from eng # KA24 012039) and the pickup trucks (from 10-88 only). These pistons increase compression ratio from 8.6:1 to 9.1:1. Trucks (D21) require the connecting rod to be bushed or connecting rod (12100-53F00) as the piston is a full floating style.
